I've learned many systems and techniques from "road players," gambling matches and participating in tournaments all over the world. Competing against champion caliber players like Efren Reyes, Earl Stickland, Buddy Hall, Johnny Archer, Rodney Morris, Vernon Elliot, Nick Varner, Shane V., Tony Ellin, Mike Sigel, Kim Davenport, Francisco Bustemante, Rafael Martinez, Roger Griffis, Hunter Lombardo, Rudalpho Luat, Reid Pierce, Jose Parica, "Jersey Red", Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Rempe, etc. I learned something from playing all these players and talking to them about what their "secrets to success" were. Now I'll share these "secrets" with you. When I was growing up this information was closely guarded, however, times have changed.
I don't play a "traditional, conventional way," and neither do many Champion players, we play "an effective way" - just because something "looks good on paper or in diagrams" doesn't mean it holds up in competition whether playing league, amateur or professional tournaments. There is a lot of teaching information to choose from and if you read enough you may "learn" yourself into a state of "paralysis by analysis".
We all have our own way of playing and competing, however, there are unique playing techniques that you will naturally learn from Champion Players about the physical and mental aspects of billiards - "we only recognize what we're familiar with," - we want to introduce you to the game in a way that makes it easier to perform, and better understand how to play your most effective way.
"It's easy to make the game difficult and difficult to make the game easy." I'll teacher you it's easier to play better right away with proper fundamentals and proven techniques.
My experience as a 2nd Degree Martial Arts Instructor, Neuro - Linguistic Programming / Hypnosis Practitioner, Tennis Instructor and countless hours teaching (pool) and learning (golf) from Hank Haney (Tiger Woods past swing coach) gives me a definite advantage in teaching aspiring players the art of pocket billiards. When you want to learn to get better and are willing to put in the time I can show you the way.
My teaching experience first started when I was 12 years old traveling around northern Missouri with the College Tennis Coach assisting with lessons. Teaching is my passion and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and understanding of the Game of Pocket Billiards influenced by the other arts, and disciplines I've been introduced to and studied throughout my life.
Our goal is to teach well rounded systems and techniques so you discover how to play your best game. For me pool has been an art form, a way of self expression and I want to share my knowledge with you so you can also learn directly from the game, the greatest teacher of all. For this to happen it's essential to understand how the Game connects to your body, cue, tip, cue ball, object balls, diamonds, etc. a comprehensive way so you can develop a touch and feel for the game.
We have a new facility to do private lessons and training in between Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas. We have the ability to do video instruction and I use a variety of training equipment used in preparing my own game for competition. My favorite "stroke trainer" is a sword, to teach how the stroke has a "groove or slot" that makes makes your stoke straight and precise, and a Break Rak to get instant feedback - they do wonders, I've been using The Sword for years and it was my "secret weapon" to becoming one of the straightest shooters in the professional game. These teaching tools will save you valuable time in your improvement.
Introductory Special - 3 Hours of Personal Instruction (or groups up to 4 players) for $200
Special Rated Packages are offered in MAY for Texas residents - enjoy an assortment of hotels and restaurants within 3 miles of the facility. Upscale Billiard Clubs also within 10 - 25 minutes of facility.

CJ did want to tell you that since I came up and got lessons from you my average in a couple leagues have gone up .200 points. I was shooting right around .500 before our lesson and now I'm solidly shooting .700 or a little more. that means I'm winning 70% of the time. thats a pretty good jump and our leagues have a good people playing. I just started playing apa also since its singles and I am a 5 since I never played in it before and my first three matches were against apa 7s and I beat them all without any handicap. As soon as the money situation gets better (fall) I'll be heading back up. thanks again! Ed
Thanks CJ, that was the best 12 hours that I ever had.
The "hammer" technique along with the sword forces my cue to stay in the groove creating a much needed straight stroke. My game is developing more and more each day, not to mention the added boost in my confidence. Your teaching techniques are superb. I would recommend to anyone who needs a "stroke adjustment" to come and see you.
"Systems underlie every phenomenon, and are everywhere one looks for them. They are limited only by the observer’s capacity to comprehend the complexity of the observed entity, item or phenomenon."
I was lucky enough to have been revealed the "touch of inside" aiming system 3 or 4 years ago. CJ was just beginning to get back into pool, and I ran into him at a weekend tournament. After some conversation he was nice enough to explain to me many the TOI benefits and how he used it for years against the top players in the world with success that is undeniable. I began to fool around with it and had some immediate success. He guided me through it by explaining to me exactly how to "tweak" it a bit in order to accommodate my particular style of play.
CJ also helped me immensely on the mental attitude of pool. His experiences in the martial arts helped him to understand exactly how we think in pressure situations and how we can deal with these feelings and channel them into positive results.
He communicates the ideas in a brilliant way. He is a great instructor and is always there to answer a quick question for me regarding any of his practices. His success and knowledge of the game is undeniable. A lesson with CJ opened me up to a whole new "pool galaxy" and allowed me to improve at an exceptional rate.
I plan on heading to CJ's pool headquarters to do a follow up and soak up some more information. It's really fun when you learn how to make the game easier and see improvements. Some people talk about it and some do their talking with their cue stick! CJ's pool resume is phenomenal.
